I'm pretty sure you are not supposed to double post things in different sections. But welcome! You should come to the meet this saturday. What color is your shinka?

[QUOTE=Huey52;2667617]There is only one proper color for a Shinka ('05 was black cherry mica)
Thanks. I wasn't sure. I thought there were like 2 colors.

I just purchased a white 05 RX-8 and I love mine also. Is there anywhere I could buy original floormats? I also want to upgrade the sound system any ideas.
Your local dealer or checkout some of our forum vendor OEM dealers like www.finishlineperformance.com or Trussville Mazda. They have good deals and can ship to you.
Noticed you are from Seattle. Check out University Mazda. The Service manager I work with all the time is Wally and he's a good guy.

Hey guys I'm not a car savvy so here's my question, my new used car has a lot a rust around the brake drum. How do I remove it? Also I have a navigation system but I want it to play DVD I know it can be done how do I go about doing it.
If you have 2004 and is still under power train warranty, you can take it to a dealer and have them clean the rust, and powder coat the rotor hubs for free.
If you search around on this forum, you will find a recall number/code you can show to the dealer if they refuse to. Ask them first.
My dealer did it with no question asked - for free. My car is 04 and @42K when I had it done.
To play DVD on Navi screen -
People usually swap their whole system with a carputer. So they can use it for both Navi and play dvds...... But there are other routes also...
Any route you take - it will cost you ... Do some search in Audio/ interior section. You will find some threads dedicated to that topic.... Good luck!

That's good info. I have the same problem...only mine is an '05...Do you happen to know if that year is covered for that too? Thanks!
Don't live in Redmond. I do, however, live in Portland.
Ah, the timing was right, too bad. I always park in the same space at work and the Monday after you posted, a Shinka started parking next to me for a few days in a row, getting in even earlier than me (odd, since I get in at 7:45 these days).
