So I was driving home the other night after work, and a brand new Civic Si was riding my back pretty close and revving the heck out of his engine. I'm not going to lie to you guys but I was tempted to race him at the next light we stoped at. While waiting there at the light my radar started to go off, so I decided to play it safe and be the better man about it. As soon as the light turn's green the guy takeoffs and he was going at least 80mph in a 40mph when all of a sudden the cop came out of Carriage Crest elementary school in Fairwood and pulled the guy over. Moral of the story street racing is dumb and don't do it.
I didn't get in trouble the cop just waved at me to go by, I was only going 45mph in a 40mph.

That was hilarious...
So here's another story about 2 Eclipses at the Autobacs Meet that's held bi-weekly in SoCal.
There were about 15 of us 8's there and buncha 7 guys and there were these two eclipses that just sat at the exit of the parking lot of Autobacs. Everytime one of us 7 or 8 guys leave the parking lot, they would try to race us. It was ridiculous... Point of story? I don't know.
point of story was that, when we turned left to in an out, one of those eclipse whose muffler we are sure should have fell out on his way home zoomed by us, and there was a cop driving right behind him,
the rest I don't know either, but I can safely assume he got assraped

haha, that happened to me with an evo. the guy was riding my ***, and we went around a turn and i shifted into third to make him think we were racing and he took off. cop was a the next turn and he had to have been going 100+. funny stuff

I did something similar to a boxster. We were both zippin up the on-ramp then I down shifted to take off and he downshifts and launches but my radar was beepin at me so i just skirted the tires and that was it he prolly got radar'd at atleast 100+ because we were about to launch at a 70mph roll
Woooh!! just came back from a beach Run!!! I finally hit 157mph FTW!!!! hellz to the yea! was I racing anyone? no.......was there anyone? no.........took me 1mile to get from 0-157 holy crap..........why did I do it? wanted to empty the entire nitrous bottle before going back to Thailand. fun fun how does this relate to the story of street racing?
a freaking Cobalt, not even SS tried to come after me and he freaking ran on to the curb and broke something, I heard a huge *** CRACK!! from his car.
don't street race, if taja goes insane........let him go insane, don't go after him

I don't know. If there's no one around, and I don't get a bad vibe from the other car, I still go for it on occasion. Mind you, not where I can't see well off the road and down it. And the one's who are most willing to play, and not punk kids, tend to hand my *** to me well before the speed limit. Around here, it's mostly high-torque american cars that will play a bit.
i agree with kristopher_d, sometimes ya' can't resist! i'd much rather see how the cars do at corners!
and by the way, not all people that have civics are punks......
