Performance turning newbie

Hi,

I own a stock 2007 mazda RX-8 grand touring version, and I'm looking for some help getting my head wrapped around my performance tuning options. I've digged around on the site for a thread like that, but most of these seem to be for people that really know what they are doing. I have not tweaked the performance on a car before. I'm in the seattle area if anyone has a shop they can refer me to, or any common sense options I should be chasing first. My goal is to shave about a second off my 0 to 60 times, but anything to get started would be helpful.

Getting it down be a second, 6sec to 5sec, is a tall order. I don't think it can be achieved by just tuning.

Since you are asking about getting tuning done at a local shop, I'm moving this to the NW Regional Forum. It will also hopefully eliminate troll answers.
