Go to this lawyer, dondo recommend hem to me, and they do red-light cameras to!!!
sense my ticket is down here in Puyallup, they recommended some one from down here in Tacoma, be prepare to pay $300 but it will most likely get drop or change to some thing else, that will not affect you insurance, yet again there is no guaranty!!!

Apply that principle next time.
But in all honesty, talk to some of the lawyers around there, and ask any of your friends if they've had any good lawyers. But hopefully they can get it reduced to a non-moving violation or something.

So a bit more information, I didn't really run a red light, I apparently just dint stop long enough while making a right on red. I'm not so sure about getting a lawyer, because its 125 bucks, I'm not sure a lawyer can beat that price wise and it doesn't go on your driving record either.
I wish I could post up the video, its pretty insane that they are charging me.

Haha, I figured that's what it was, I just figured the video would add a little humor. It takes stupidity and a willingness to die to flat out run a red light.
Have you verified with a lawyer, the DMV, or anyone that it won't show up on your record? Because at least here, that's a moving violation, and all moving violations do.
In that case, I'd find a lawyer worth it, but I have to keep my record clean just to keep my job, I don't know how important it is for you.

Unless marked other wise you have to come to a complete stop when turning at a red light or stop sign. The only way you would beat the citation would be due to a technicality. Check your local laws about how big the intersection has to be to have cameras. Also each camera has to have a documented maintenance history.

Wow, they took a video, not just a picture? That's too legit right there..
I still say contact quite a few lawyers and see what they say. Obviously don't go with one that doesn't seem optimistic.

Trust me, if you can have a lawyer get you out of a speeding ticket, and you get charged with improper exhaust, when you were obviously driving, since you were face to face with the officer, a good lawyer could help you out if you really want.
Just up to you on which route you'd rather go, obviously.
Though, I will say, if you've got a clean record, they can usually wor with you. It's repeat offenders that it starts being up to the judge on how lenient they'd like to go on you, if at all. But for a first time offense, you can work with it, unless your judge ends up having had a bad day.

I agree. Not likely the OP will beat this ticket. Especially since it was an illegal right turn. My point was there is a slim chance the intersection cameras were not setup or maintained correctly. If the distance is too great to cross before the cameras take your picture then it is an illegal setup and the ticket must be tossed. If they do not maintain the cameras on a set approved schedule then the ticket will be tossed. This information is on public record so anyone can find out. How difficult they make it for you to get it is another matter.

We have lots of intersections Ramps etc.. that Cal does the same on.. You can do it here if its posted just like Oregon.. I have noticed however that Oregon allows it in more places...
Its a Ticket getter here.. Right Turn on Red light being allowed and all it really only makes sense to stop if the intersection is not clear..

Just go to court and do not testify
I'm not clear on what happened, but if this is a situation where the camera got the license plate and they mailed the registered owner the ticket, then the issue is whether there is a picture of a face that is clear enough to definitely identify the driver. It did not look that way from your video. If there is no clear photo of the driver, just show up in court, but DO NOT TESTIFY. You cannot be required to testify. If nobody can identify you as the driver, the case should be dismissed.

So you do not have to be driving the car, thats why they give the ticket to the car and not the driver, like a parking ticket. Thats why it does not go on your record!

Damn that's expensive for a michigan roll. I barely stop at lights in Detroit. One night I ran over 30 reds just for fun (on devils night watching the fires).
Cameras for tickets are a crime. They spend so much just to pay for the hardware/upkeep/overtime they only lasted a couple months in Ontario, Canada.
Just pay it and leave a good ol' "camera does police job, expect a computer to replace you" on the memo line.

Mr. Örange
The only thing I can think of is, the ticket shouldn't or can't be more expensive than a parking ticket. You'll need a lawyer to look into that one, but I saw a story on channel 2 news a while ago that the police were charging more than a PT and the fines had to be reduced.
Not sure if that was just for one particular city or all of WA

So Anibal- I contacted that attorney you mentioned and they referred me to another attorney that will get it taken care of for 62 bucks. I can stomach that. As long as the city not only is not getting a dime from me, but now wasting time and resources for money they will never get. You loose Redmond Police!

Congradulations, here it is a civil offense rather than criminal. You get a hearing before a adjudicator and don't go to court. He takes your statement and then makes a decision. 99%+ of the decisions go to the taxing body. If you don't like that decision, you have to sue.
