I want it delivered and on my hoist before I projecting my choice. It was the 4th choice I had made. and I'd like to not keep changing my posts about what engine it is.

I would think it doesn't matter, your choice is of interest to some.
Some people, myself included, wouldn't attempt a non rotary swap, but are still interested.
Maybe some people could give you some input.
There will be some who may give you grief, but they're easily ignored.

Has that engine been successfully swapped into an 8 already?

I've seen like 2, neither stateside. I chose it for these features:
Lightweight AND compact
Starter mounted via block
Exhaust on passenger side
Reliability
Aftermarket Support
Power Potential(500 boosted,without cracking open a seal, or 240+ with cams+boltons)
Ease of maintenance
Fitment

I had three picked out, KA24(little heavy), SR20DE, and QR20DE(euro block has starter on block) then I ran across the H-Series that led me to K-Series. It fit the bill very nicely. plus 559$ delivered.

Interesting.
Sounds promising if you know it's been done.
Good luck!

Good choice (not the Auto though) but I highly doubt it weighs less than a Renny.

Auto was chose mainly because it's already there. it'll keep down on swap cost, That is biased on- No direct bolt on trans, From what I've read even the S2K trans will need an adapter, this leads to new trans, adapter plate, new mounts, Clutch Assembly, lines, a 5 or 6speed ecu purchase and driveshaft. So keeping the auto even if I move it forward an inch or two to mate up will be less( block adapter, tq converter adapter, extend PFF and shift linkage)

There both supposed to come in around 275lbs from reading, the K20A will drop the PS pump, and lighter exhaust manifold(aftermarket) so after removing junk, replacing heavy OEM parts it should come in just shy of the renesis. I will try to weigh the two.
