Saw the wing, don't think it would suit the car once the arches are built fella, like the vent location ?

And she is gone, Bear collected her today and she is now sitting up in Mr. Stones. Next updates will be alot more exciting, rollcage baby

The vents are neat and there's room in the middle should you ever need it.

Imho that wing is the best option available, barring electronic adjustable setups.

Looks neat and performs like a champ

I dunno if I wanna run with a BGW yet, it does look pretty awesome but APR do some cool wings too...

Cheers mate...

Well since the car is gone I decided to do a bit on the bonnet, ground down the edges of the bonnet and under the vents so they sealer could bite into something :
Name: 0085.jpg
Views: 1902
Size: 71.0 KB

Used the usual pop rivets to hold them in place while the sealer set but looking good so far :
Name: 0086.jpg
Views: 1824
Size: 51.8 KB

The underneath just needs the lines tidied up a bit so they are even but all in all I'm happy enough...
Name: 0087.jpg
Views: 1842
Size: 62.3 KB

Time to make it look original using a sanding disc on the grinder :
Name: 0088.jpg
Views: 1842
Size: 45.6 KB
Name: 0089.jpg
Views: 1915
Size: 63.6 KB

First coat used a 50/50 mix of filler and fibreglass, my poor garage, hate the stuff :
Name: 0090.jpg
Views: 1833
Size: 68.9 KB

Will try get the outer skin finished off tonight and get to work on the underneath sometime this week...

Looks sick man, I would love to have someone do that for me. The engine bay heat in Texas with a turbo is going to be killer this summer.

Well fella, everything I make for this build with be replicated in Fibreglass as a weight saving exercise. So from the bonnet to the boot will be available as spares when I hit the track, if there is anything you need I can see about shipping to the states ?

I would have cut the entire understructure out from the hood. Nothing else will even come close to being that light for a racing hood.

He's replicating the hood in fiberglass once it's complete.

You can have the replica bonnet for what it costs one, just cover shipping.

I dunno why I didn't think of that, I was more focused on strength but yes I agree, chop, chop I will still be making copies though cash more than likely it will get hopped off a wall...

Had one in my Altezza too, cheap and cheerful to tune

Just as a side note I would like to state I am not a trader, I don't intend on trying to make money from this build. I'm building it purely for my love of cars and my own amusement. Any parts I have made for the car I will pass on the contact details for that specialist to whoever is interested. If you wish to ban my ip again I would suggest you at least drop me a pm or email first to clarify. Common courtesy goes along way !

Nice project man. What made you choose the SR20 for the project?

I'm prepping my FI 8 for drift.. I can't seem to find what tires I can use.. What are the longest lasting drift tires available?

Good luck and hope to see it in action soon!

Regards,
Mark

lol longest lasting tires for drifting?....you realize that you are essentially rubbing the rubber off the tires with each slide. But look at the NT05s those give me great traction and break when needed.

There isn't any record of you receiving any violation. If a violation is issued, which would be a Warning or a Ban, there would be a record and you would have automatically received a message. Moderators don't have the ability to ban IP's.
