Starts up but stalls when hot only sometimes

Sometimes my car's idle drops to 700 after I start it after a hard drive. Today after hard drive I started it up and it died.. it did it again right afterwards. Compression tested fine by a rotory specialist couple weeks ago. Any ideas? Vacuum leak? My cat is gutted. I have p2070 at the moment and I will be taking care of that soon. Maf is 4.6 at idle, vacuum almost 19in at idle, ltft is 10 stft is 2.

I would highly recommend looking into a new fuel pump. They are problematic on S1

Thanks guys. I did replace the fuel pump about 7k ago, but I'll get that adaptor and check the fuel pressure.

So I know the pressure has to be from around 47 to 53 psi if I recall correctly. Should I test at idle and 2.5k rpm?

OK so no matter what situation the pressure should be as you mentioned?

Yes, even when the car is off pressure doesn't drop but only a couple of PSI.

Mine holds overnight, I discovered all this when mine was not holding pressure and causing hard starts when cold. I have never checked it for any longer than that.

This was with the unknown leak, with the leak fixed it's usually at 60psi and with the S2 starter, it turns over with barely a bump of the key..

An update to the thread, I finally got to checking the pressure, it's at a solid 60psi. The only time it was low was after I put the pump fuse back after taking it out to drain the fuel from the lines. It built up after a few key turns
