Slave cylinder pushrod can be pushed in with my finger
Really need help from the group. I just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing. It shifts smooth and great, but theres a rattle. I got under the car and I believe it's the clutch fork. There was a little wiggle to it, so I pushed on the slave cylinder pushrod and was able to push it in with my finger. Should I be able to do this? I got back in the car and was able to pump the clutch pedal, which was now on the floor and got the pressure back in it so the pushrod was back pushing against the clutch fork. But I was able to push the rod in with my finger again. I'm fairly certain this is not normal, but I'm not sure if I need to replace the clave cylinder or the clutch master cylinder. I replaced both last year.
Last question, should there be a little play in the clutch fork without pressure on it from the slave cylinder? I'm pretty sure that this is the rattle I hear when the pushrod isn't hold pressure against the fork.
Thank you in advance to whoever can help. I dropped a bunch of money in her this year and being that it's the wife's car, she really wants to drive her.

Are you sure there's not any air in the clutch hydraulic system?
There is supposed to be a little play. You don't want the throwout bearing touching the clutch diaphragm except when you push in the clutch pedal. There is supposed to be some heavy heat resistant grease where the slave pushrod engages the clutch fork. It shouldn't really rattle if there is.

Since my last post, I added some grease between the slave cylinder pushrod and the fork, I even found a small clip that fit on the end of the pushrod to hold it tight against the fork, and it still rattles. So last night, I gave up and pulled the transmission. With everything greased, there is still play between the clutch fork and the throw out bearing which is what it making the rattle sound. I think. I haven't put the tranny back in yet, not sure what my next step will be. But I know the wife is ready to driver her car and her patience is just about up.
