Angry P0351 code help!!

Hey guys,

I have a 03 rx-8 and the other week my ECL popped on! I took it into the garage and was told by mazda that i needed a new air solenoid valve, took it to my local garage to get the work done and the mechanic told me that it wasnt the solenoid valve and in fact it was a "p0351 code Ignition coil A Primary/secondary circuit fault" he told me that i needed a full set of coils because if i just replaced coil A that the fault would just skip to another coil and the ECL will still be on. I have been told by someone else that if i just replace the faulty coil the light will disapear and i wont have to replace all the coils.

Has anybody else had this problem that can shed some knowledge onto the situation?? Would prefer to replace just the 1 coil as it is for sale at the moment and i just want the ECL gone!

Thanks!
Mitch

Just replacing 1 is ok if you are selling it (and should get rid of the cel so long as the new coil is compatible) . If you were keeping it I would definitely replace all of them.
