After wanting an Rx8 since I purchased my FC I have finally bought a 2009 Mazda Rx8 R3. I am extremely happy with it and I love it! Have a few questions regarding the clutch pedal feel so if anyone can answer them it'd be awesome. When I first start the car the clutch is soft and easy to engage. As I drive the car, I would say to operating temp, the clutch pedal gets stiffer. I don't think that's normal but I've never owned an Rx8 so I'm not 100% sure. I own an 89 240sx and 88 Rx7 and the clutch on both has never changed when or while I'm driving, but again I understand the Rx8 is a lot different so if anyone can get back to me I would appreciate it.

I have a 09 GT, my clutch is the same all the time so I don't think that is normal.

Make sure you read up on the new owners threads and check your oil frequently. I would change the oil right away as I am guessing the oil filter is incorrect (unless you bought it from a Mazda Dealer or someone who changed their own oil). Have to use the mazda one for the SII as the bypass is higher than any filter you can buy. If you take it somewhere other than a Mazda Dealer to change the oil, make sure they use the correct filter (I make them give me the box for the filter on the rare occasions I do take it elsewhere).
