Thumbs up New Member, thanks Rx8 club!

Hello All!
First Timer here....

First Off I would like to say thank you to everyone, it seems to be a very tight knit community and there is a lot of information on here thanks to the time and effort from all of the members!

I have spent many hours on this website and it has been a huge help with all the great information and input that is available on here!

I got my 8 back in June, after plenty of searching for the right one.....
04 AT, (I know I should have gotten manual but I couldn't turn this deal down) Grand Touring in Winning Blue and she is pretty. However I must say it is a pretty finicky vehicle....but worth it, what a drive!

Anyways, sorry for the novel....just wanted to introduce myself! hoping to meet some other 8's in the area (Hamilton) and befriend some fellow zoom zoomers!

Cheers and Merry Christmas!
Dave

Congrates and welcome to the club, check out the Canadian forum for your area there are plenty of memebers there.
Also there's always a large GTA meet in the spring,so if you can come out and make yourself known.

Cheers!

Thanks for welcome! Blue is in my opinion the nicest color on the 8!
I will be sure to look out for that meet in the spring!

I Actually already have that entire thread printed out, did so before I got my 8.....
So far I have installed an AEM CAI, and purchased some winter tires (currently driving in the winter)and that is all....Havent had any issues with the CAI as some have on here...
I also plan on installing a tablet to replace the stock navigation...that will come in a few weeks and I will be sure to take some pictures and create a thread!

Only a few minor issues with car so far:
1)power steering flaw...found the dozens of threads on here and fixed that right up!
2)My ABS and DSC lights came on yesterday when I pressed the brakes to put it into gear...found the info on here and should be able to fix that tomorrow (stop light isn't working...needs to be replaced)

I also rear ended a woman a month ago...dented up my front bumper pretty good, hers was fine (old honda civic), recently took it off and took a torch to it and got her looking pretty again. I have another blue bumper on hand ready to go on when I put my summer tires on in the spring, so the once dented bumper is now my winter bumper haha! Im gonna start a thread and post some pictures! Turned out pretty good!

There is so much info on here and most of the time all it takes is a little searching to find the remedy for the issue at hand!

Once again Thank you All!
Merry Christmas!

Welcome.
Nice 8, except for the autotragic.
Jk .
Mine's an LY GT 6 spd.
I have wanted to do the tablet conversion also, but my electrical skills are limited at best and I've been hesitant to tackle it.
I'll be interested in seeing it.
There are some threads already on it if you don't want to start a new thread.

Cheers BigCajun!
My next 8 will be a MT for sure!!!
I have read every single thread as well as watched the youtube videos on all tablet conversions.....From what I have gathered, the most difficult part is modifying the nav housing to fit the tablet and assemble everything to work again.....Maybe we can assist each other in the process??

My Electrical skills aren't all to good either, but my fathers is....he actually builds his own custom speakers, turntables, crossovers, mods amps, rebuilds and mainly only works with vacuum tube audio.....so he is going to assist in the install as well as tweak the audio and maybe install some upgraded speakers......(the bass in my front left speaker currently pops in and out sometimes) so hes gonna take a look at that when we do it.....

I just gotta gather the necessities (grom, tablet, etc...) and then I can get started! will take pics!
