My car is not working properly

Hello, I was wondering if any of you can help me. I have a 2005 RX-8 and I'm experiencing some problems while driving. About 10 mins into driving, my panel light would come on and the power steering would stop working. I dont know why this happens but this is something new and never happened before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since your battery light is on, it sounds electrical. The power steering on these cars is electric. I suggest to check/clean the battery contacts and make sure they're securely connected. If that doesn't change anything, have the battery and alternator output tested. Although if it was the battery, I'd expect it not hold a charge and cause you to be unable to start the car.

Are you noticing a loss of coolant? Or is coolant boiling over? Spilling?
I'll post a google search on the subject. If you haven't found a solution, perhaps read through a few threads and see if any of them show similar symptoms.
