welcome, first have you tried searching?
second have you tried taking it to the mazda dealership?
the speedometer or MPH as you called it is linked to the ABS sensor

third not working how? does it stay at 0 is nothing displayed at all?

very hard to interwebz diagnose with the lack of information

Well it's in the cluster, which communicates with the ECU. So a dealer scan is your only real option unless you try another cluster. Have you tried disconnecting the battery? It may just be a glitch.
