Intro from a new member

Hello everyone. I am a proud new owner of a beautiful all black 2004 RX8. I am not new to the rotory world, although it does seem the RX8 has its own character and issues.
I have arranged for the comp test, and will be getting around to all the maintenance recs made here over the course of the next month. I realize that an RX8 with 80k miles is nearing the end of its engine life, this car is running great and I am willing to rebuild the engine to keep. I know, call me stupid, but I intend on keeping this car for a long long time. tbh, its one of those things that just come with the territory with these cars.

I have one quick question for you guys, it seems I have the Bose stereo system. (the car is the upgraded version with leather interior etc.) and I'm wondering, are the speakers decent on this car? is it the stereo or the speakers responsible for the crappy sound? I would prefer to keep it all stock, but willing to upgrade for a better sound. Is it worth changing either the speakers, or the stereo? Or is it just both?
