Hey i know this has been started over and over again but all i want is a straight answer i dont want fan boy stuff i just want honesty ok thank you
To begin with i have a 2006 RX8 my dream car its a 6 speed auto/paddle shifter it has shifters on the steering wheel and also the stick and my question is, is it the same as a manual rx8 when i put it in manual mode? Like whats the difference wouldnt they be the same?

No. Not the same.
If you want auto, make sure you get an 06 or over.

Edit: read the stickies in the new owners forum to understand the difference. As you stated, it's been discussed since 2003...

Ok thxs at least you didnt give me BS and thxs for the stickies tip and yea i own a 2006 rx8 base with auto tranny transmission i love the car so much its been my dream car since i was like 14 you think its worth changing the transmission to just manual
