Slash,

I know, hence the smiley.

GK, once it's done I'll take a video of the first startup/idle and post it.

Make it work, then pretty 9k.

I'm looking for a house, I work 60+ hours a week and my wife is prego.

I needed it to RUN so I could drive it to my new place.
Trust me I'm far from happy dude. It will require some more work but it will be better and beautiful.
Btw the fenders are now the same color and it's been tidied a bit.. but still nowhere near done.
But yea literally I can't remember how to post a vid from my phone.
Atm I'm really too tired to give a damn.. I'll get one up. Won't be tonight but I'll put one up.

Im fixing a few small issue's i had after the first few runs. Nothing Major really aside from a turbo oil drain leak.

I already have a new line but had no time to install it yet.

Okay, i got a second so i figured i would elaborate a bit.

My Turbo oil drain line was just dumping oil. (about a quart every 20 mins). Now a lot will say, OOOh It's those AN Fittings. Well, your KINDA right. Technically it was an error on my part from rushing. NO OTHER FITTINGS LEAK. None, not one, not a drop.

I've already had a new JIC fitting made simply so i dont have to mess with it again. (draining oil every time gets expensive)

I had wired my gauges to a constant power rather than a switched 12V and for some reason my head unit and dash display refused to turn on.
I re wired the gauges so they work properly now. The head unit i literally disconnected everything, cleaned it all up, reassembled and it worked like a charm. I think i just didn't have the front plugs seated completely.

I had a very small leak on the Manifold/turbo mating surface. I got another maybe half turn total out of the bolts so hopefully that'll be gone now.

I haven't been able to do any more test runs for various reasons.
Oil leak
ICE
I work a lot...

So hopefully i'll get everything back together and do a few more runs by Friday.

Thats it for now. Back to work.

So, figured I would post this up to see what reactions I get.

I want everyone's thoughts on suspension.
I want something slightly lower than stock but not too low. I also want a bit better ride. Hopefully without losing performance. Also it will NEVER see a track

Go

Preferably below a grand. Like I said, it'll never see a track.

I'm not really a fan of Koni yellows and I was thinking MS springs but if the drop is truly 1/2 or more its too much.

The Bilstein B14 coil over kit would be the best bet in your price range. The KYB shocks and Tein S techs were a nice combo on the street. The best coilovers for under $800.00 are the Tein BASIS (not basics), we have two guys (weekend cars, no track time) with that setup and they are actually happy with it.

I've had Mazdaspeed suspension for maybe 100,000 miles and can't fault it for comfort or handling . Even on track it holds it's own . The drop is 3/4" which about perfect for street use.

I also drilled the sway bars to add some stiffness . Does not eliminate body roll but actually did feel like a nice improvement.

I like kyb shocks.

The S techs are the lower of the two springs are they not? Would I be more suited for H techs?

I have seen the tien sets but didn't think It was needed to go that far.
And always remember. I live in PA not TX anymore lol. It's not all flat here. I'll look into the b14's, I haven't seen them.

So if the MS drop rate is 3/4 it's a no go... damn...

No drop springs are low enough to worry about. I know plenty of low guys in PA, don't use that excuse. And the Techs actually sat lower on my buddies car when we compared.

+1 for the Mazdaspeed. Corners sharper, doesn't beat you up when you hit speed bumps. It was super stiff the first month, but it broke in well after that. And surprisingly affordable

9k,
I'm not talking about Allentown or Harrisburg (city folk) those roads are pretty flat. I live in the Coal region on and surrounded by mountains. (With terrible roads)
Ask the guys who did the rt 125 cruise. And that's not even close to the worst of it.
Anyway, so S techs are not a huge drop. Hmm..

S techs or mabye MS with KYB's.

I've got the higher quality teins. I don't recall the name. But I'm pretty happy with them. The drop is up to you. I had them at stock height when I first put them on.
