I think we are looking at 20 8's tomorrow, not sure as to the total number of folks. I'm off to gas up the 8 and give her a quick wash.
See everyone in the am!

The run this morning was fun -- even though I had to split early to head to work. The sound of 20 8's revving around the twisties was just awesome! Even though it was a bit chilly, I kept the window open so I could enjoy!
It's time to start planning the next gathering and I have a suggestion: let's get together somewhere near Portsmouth or Kittery and head up to Scarborough -- and go play at www.maineindoorkarting.com! The owner is an RX7 guy, and I'm sure we could make arrangements for a special play date! Also, if we do this before the tourist season, motels in the area are less expensive.
So -- does this sound appealing? I don't know how to post it as a new discussion thread, so I leave it to more experienced folks. I'll be happy to assist with the arrangements. Also, someone will have to suggest a date... I vote for a Saturday!
Let's here from lots of people!

Hey I think I've seen more RX-8s today than I ever have in the last ~2 years! Great turnout...lots of fun... 20 something 8s all in a row... very very nice looking ...esp the yellow..can't say I've ever seen a yellow and it was sweet! Sorry we didn't get to go a bit faster on those twisty bits, but you know how Sunday drivers and cops are about that.
Til next time..where ever that may be ...karting...tracking...riding...eating
Thanks to all who made it ... and made it a great day to be out and about

Hey everyone, had a great time today! The scenery was great, but of course I can't wait for the more performance oriented runs
I think the karting idea is awesome. I've been doing a lot of that reecently at racing america - www.racingamerica.com. Its a ton of fun, so i'm all for it. Those karts handle almost as well as an 8
Forgot to mention, thanks a bunch to my10ae for setting everything up and the mazda swag

Had a blast, folks. Came out with a dizzy head after all the twisties but definitely with a long wishlist:
- Borla exhaust - seen on "black and tan"
- Sway & strut bars - seen on spin9k's beast of a car
- Some sort of kickass audio system - seen on Astral's car after we had to pretend we found the "dude on the boards who wanted to check out" his audio system
- Front splash guards - they look great, but I also have to look into that matching front sideskirt idea (I have the stock skirts on the back)
- "Flood Mazda" logo and license plate - seen on Bodi's VR
^---- I nominate this mod for the best-of-show award
Will post pics when I'm done with all this work crap.

Hey Folks:
Outstanding turnout today! I first want to thank Spin 9K for putting together and printing off the colored maps and for leading this huge motley crew I also want to thank Mazda North American Operations for the cool RX-8 models and Zoom-Zoom keychains. I hope everyone liked the little surprise
I'll post up some pics tomorrow!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for having organized this run.
Certainly as the newest owner of an 8 in the group at 2 weeks, I wanna thank everyone for the warm welcoming to the group!
Had a close call on the way back home with TWO other cars trying to turn into the same lane on me at 85mph! One from the left and one from the right. We talk about the blind spots in our cars...GEEZ! I think these two drivers were all stars at the Performance Driving School for the Blind..... Thanks to the phenomenal braking ability of the 8 I was able to avoid any contact with these two morons but it was certainly only inches away.
I saw some mods that I liked and talked to a lot of great people and can't wait to do another one! I will definitely be attending the Spring Run in June...
Spin and Kevin, great run!
Thanks again to all!
