yea ken you could come, the only thing they dont let you do is put ur car in with the photo shoots, you just gotta park to the side a little, but other then that theres no difference, they dont close the mountain for us, last time i went there was a solstice (spelling?) club and mr2/s club with us on the mountain

any idea on the apprx cost of going single turbo(keeping in mind i want to stay at 300hp) is this something that should be done soon or wait till the twins die?

well the average good manifold costs around 500-1000 bucks, wastgates around 300, turbo is anywere from 800-2k, dp is around 300, plus misc lines and hoses that need to be run, intake filter, new IC piping
i think thats it....but thats just the kit itself, once u go single ur going to need more fuel, so ur gonna need new injectors, fuel pump, FPR, at least a secondary fuel rail, new lines and fittings
AAANNNNNDDDD since ur gonna be making more power ur gonna need better cooling, rad, bigger IC, all new piping, dual oil coolers
AAAANNNDDD since you got a bigger cooling system odds are the battery and sometimes the relay boxes wont fit so ur gonna have to move them
but thats not even the bigger exhaust, aftermarket ecu and safety gauges u should have already put in the car
sooooo....yea....just save up as if your buying 2 FD's and you should be good, unless your not doing the work...then save up as if ur buying 3

makes no difference, twins will die no matter what boost you run, my first set cracked the wastegate housing at 15psi second set the rear turbo crapped out at 10psi which was 320whp
twins do not last...period
and yes to an extent yes elevation and temp changes can effect FD's as they are speed density based and not MAF based, however those effects causing engine failure are more poor tuning related, tuner should adjust the map to run slightly richer across the board, temps go down, ur running at optimal AFR's temps go up ur running a tad bit too rich.....or is it vice versa?? hmmm you get the point though
regardless ive driven my FD at all sorts of temps and elevations and have never seen it rise past 11.2 afr's at WOT with an extremely reliable AFR monitoring system

Yeah they do, just get excluded from the rotary specific things like the photo and car show etc. but last time i went there was an s2k and such. you should come

yea im gonna have it out, just bought some new mounts, what did u use anyways? my boss said you could probably hammer them out, but that sounds kinda crazy to me...course hes as strong as an ox...oh well lol

I mean there are advantages, they just aren't worth the money you are going to pay and you will actually end up losing out on some of the stuff that makes sequentials great. For the most part I'd have to agree with this but it's not as bad as the guy that wanted to swap in a miata motor into his FD hahahahaha.

i think, it's better for you to have the car first, then you ask ppl around what's good and you experience it your self...
it's the same thing as rx8, if you wanna put turbo, it's the basic thing where you know what you need once you put turbo in, the same as rx7 i believe, you need more to support the single turbo.
the reason some people got tired of talking about it bcause ppl have been talking about it in the forum.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm with Benny on this one. Eric, if you can't go on 7 club to look for some of the basic answers yourself, you don't belong in a 7. When you do go to 7 club, don't post a thread. Do a search. They give no quarter over there. They will tear you apart for n00b stuff. You can be as sarcastic as you want but Benny is right and he was nice enough to say that he doesn't mind helping you out. I think you should follow his advice because from where I'm standing, you don't know what you're getting yourself into. I read up a alot before I got my FD and I still didn't fully comprehend the pain that was coming.
