Hey... if I come on the 18th, would anyone be willing to help me put my new rims on? Just curious. I'll have them by then and that will be literally my first day back!

We got any new word on a meet on the 18th? If not, who can help me install my rims sometime that day?

Actually, it looks like the Rotary Club is now meeting August 12 in Newport News http://rx7.meetup.com/55/calendar/6057779/

Maybe we can plan an August 18 meet for the 8 Club as well. How about an install get together somewhere then a meetup at Awful's?

It's no sweat if we can't. I saw that they were having a meet on the 12th, I'll still be in Iraq @ that point. I'll work something out if we cant.

Everyone knows that I'm always up to installs! Usually it's on my car, but I'm always willing to help others as well. Tomorrow Dan is coming over for some stuff on his car. If you need some help, let me know. A "meet" might not be feasible, but perhaps we could get a few people together for a drive afterwards.

How about planning the 18th for installs? We can do Nick's wheels. I'll need some help popping off my front bumper cover to swap my fogs and hopefully install my RB screens (if they arrive by them). A Pungo drive after would break those new wheels in.

If we're doing a drive afterward, should we start earlier?

I was thinking earlier as well, so we'd have the afternoon to drive (the Pungo circuit takes an hour and a half or more depending on stops). Anyone else need some installing done?

Here's what G-Rex had to say -

"1 or 2 PM would be good for me (later would be fine, too; it would just be later for the drive). I don't have a torque wrench or breaker bar for the wheels, but I do have a cheap floor jack and jack stands. We could do it at my place, but if jskup's offering, he's probably got way better equipment"

So we seem to be in agreement about 1pm is good for everyone. Now we just need a place ...

My place is good because I'll have my daughter with me and she can keep herself entertained inside.

I'll see about giving myself that Saturday off. May be possible.
Pat if you get your screens call me 434.3676 ... I have some High Temp black rattle spray that we can put on. I think it would look better on your yellow.
Nick, when you say changing your wheels... do you mean that you will be be bringing wheels that already have the tires mounted? Maybe I missed something?

That would be sweet. Exactly what I was planning to do. I hope you can make it (unlike the last meet)

OK Nick, jskup has a family thing at lunch, so how about 2pm? I got my RB screens so I'll want to get those and swap my fogs when the nose is off. Anybody else?

Hey guys, I won't be able to make it at all. I'm stuck in Kuwait until the 17th, and won't get into NC until the 18th, don't know when I will be getting in on the 18th, but from what I understand I'll have a few days off right when I get back so I'll still be coming straight to VA to get my car and my chica. And yeah Dan, the tires are already mounted on the rims. I just hear all the people talk about offset and spacing or whatever and don't want to put them on wrong. I have no idea how to do it. Sad I know, but I'm new to all this car business! I'll figure something out when I get home.

Well, crap. What about the next weekend - the 25th - or are you just off the middle of the week?
