Dealing with the DEALERSHIPS

I'm in Virginia Beach, just took my car in for an oil change and the airbag recall and I showed them the old air filter with oil spatterred on it. We'll see how it goes. BUT-- The great thing about this forum is that we can all share our experiances and the dealerships they are with. We are the car owners and can direct our business to the "good" dealers and service departments. They dealers will get the hint- meanwhile we share and stop our own headaches and tell Mazda about it. Anyone in the Beach area have a good dealer story?

Not only that, be sure to TELL your dealership about this site. Suggest that they have someone log on as a guest and lurk here a while. Read the comments, concerns, and info on the board. My dealer up here in Northern VA (Arlington Mazda) was surprised at how much information was on the board. They said that they are going to start monitoring the board to better serve their customers. Interesting.

Well- got my girl back and the work was ok---Minus the dipstick they left in the engine compartment and the oil overfill. It only took them a few hours to do the recall work and an oil change. I'd rate HALL MAZDA in VA Beach at about a 6 on a 1-10 scale. So far--of 4 mech. centers i've taken my cars to, none of them have a good QA. I always find something they miss. The only time i was ever happy was when i had a private mech. work on my NX 2000, but He isn't certified for my RX8. I called and told the service rep. and he was eager to fix it. I told him i took care of it myself, but to look our site up. He seemed very receptive. Guess I'm used to a bit more because of the military QA being so Anal.

First Team sucks too.

I too the 8 in for the recall that was for the airbag and some type of tranny damper. Also my check engine lite came on.

Of course they FOUND NOTHING on the check engine light. I asked about getting the latest PCM flash and was told it doesn't exist. Pretty friggen bad when "I" know more than "Mazda service". Current reflash # is:N3H6 18 881L
I guess from now on, I'll try Hall for service. First Team sucks. My car interior was dirty, the radio was left on SO LOUD it startled me (I turned it off when I dropped off car) when I turned the key on. They broke my keychain, had to wait for a stupid *** to figure out the paperwork for a loaner (1/2 hour), and the same when returning the loaner.

When I drop off my G35, their service procedures are actually pleasant.

Wow-this is really bad! I'm planning on doing some mods to my car-guess I'll be taking it to Millinium Auto Sports. They seem to know what they're doing. I stopped by they're new place and the one guy there is waiting to see if anyone wants him to install a 3 rotor engine in their car. Right now they did the fastest WRX in the state.-But i'm not going for the fastest anything- i just want my car running perfesctly.
