Road America Tour the Track 8/4-6

Just signed up for Saturday and Sunday "Tour the Track" events. They are scheduled for 12:50 to 1:50 pm both days. An hour on the track for $50 (+ admission ticket of $20) Not like a real "track day", but not a lot of bucks and a lot of fun for us non-racers.

If anyone would like to "rub fenders" with me there, send me a pm or email. Maybe we can hook up for the trip there.

Zoom, Zoom!

Here's a couple pix from today. Not a great showing, but Waukesha, Milwaukee, Chicago, Madison, and the Elkhart Lake area were rotary represented. You all missed a great opportunity to drive Road America. There were only about 40 cars for the Tour the Track event today, and after the about the 2nd lap the pace car left the track ... we were on our own to go as fast or as slow as we wanted! It was a blast!!! I actually LAPPED a Cobra before it was over. ( he was really taking it easy) Everyone was very well behaved allowing for a safe but exhilarating experience ( except for one guy in a PT Cruiser who seemed to be out there bent on passing everything on the track. You just let those guys go and hope they don't damage themselves or someone else!) Total time about 40 minutes and 8 to 9 laps of the 4 mile course. You can't beat it for $50!!!

Hope more of you can make it tomorrow!!!

Wow, you washed it this time? Imagine what you could have done at the car show with a washed car...

Nah...it wasn't washed. If I would have washed it for the car show, I would have won the Viper category.
