Tire's shouldn't be a problem.....you're simply doing about 5 laps around a half mile track.

It's a really good experience. I go whether racing or not. It's fun. There are also some others across ND. And I'm sure there are some in MN.

lol ya I don't have class on Mondays so I just stayed home. I didn't even go out till later on that afternoon when it was just water on the roads. I heard it was really bad here in Fargo that morning.

I've got a question regarding any RX8's in ND....I'm just wondering if any of you have given any thought into autocrossing this summer. Our local Mazda Dealer usually sponsors a few of the events held here in Fargo. There will be many opportunities also across the state as well as at least 4 in the Red River Valley. And maybe the Alerus will let us hold an event there this year. I would like to see as many Mazda at these events, especially 8's. I think we can learn a lot by seeing how someone else drives their 8. It's also just a lot of fun.

Anyway, just post up and let me know if you plan to, thinking about, not going to, whatev....any thoughts you have on this topic. Feel free to ask any questions as well.

I have Blizzacks and yes they so are worth the money, but there was no hope that day.

As for auto crossing is there anything special or any saftey gear you need to get?? i maybe wouldn't mind trying it at least once and seeing what its all about.

Only one..

This is not saying much but I'm the only owner of a 04 velocity red in Devils Lake.. I am sitting less than 20 feet away from it right now.. she's in the garage to stay until all the snow goes away.. even then the roads here suck.. mmm.. the joys of a rural ND town..

Amnguido if you are thinking of Auto crossing the only thing we need is a helmet.. Come to DL so i'll have an 8 to compete against.. not a single mod on mine.
http://www.sccabadlands.org/solo2/

Buneque that is a well put together car.. hope to see it in person some day..

All helmet are supplied at the scca badlands region. They were bought for us last year courtesy of the Ramada. So if you don't have a helmet, don't let that stop you.

MM.. 7.5 thousand.. actually speaking of the casino I saw an 07 vel. red auto.. out there this fall.. clean and looking good, pretty sure he was a min. neighbor.. and the slide, i wouldn't know, the only thing i'm out there for is a good cigar (not in the car though) on the good summer days.. no gambling for this young pup..

Ok im hoping someone here in ND will know this...

Is it legal to have white side marker lights? Has anyone installed them?

Or does it have to be amber?

I had the clear ones on my winning blue and never got hassled for them, but I only had that car for a couple months. I think it is supposed to be amber.

I would think you would be fine. It all depends on the cops in your town tho.
