today my dealer told me that my RX-8 along with the demostration one and one of their employee's along with alot of other dealer's RX-8s were totaled in a train de-railing, this sounds kinda fishy to me, so i was wondering if any of you had heard anything similar or could back up this story

Nope. I scoured the net and couldn't find any train wreck related RX-8 stories.

I did, however, wait at a railroad crossing today in Wentzville, MO while a freight train carrying TONS of cars went passed. Couldn't tell what vehicles were on board, the rail cars were hard to see in. But, it was definitely full of cars.

For whatever that's worth.

My dealer had also mentioned something about this last week to me when I went to pick up my car, but could not confirm it....and he had no idea what cars were on it.

What a tragedy for those pre-order folks still waiting if that really did happen.
