Guys, I have a very nice velocity red RX-8 with turblown kit up for sale. Engine needs work as it loses its compressions prior to installing the turblown kit. My car is in the for sale section under the name "LUCKYCAT". My wfe is expecting and I no longer have good reasons to keep this expensive hobby. Car is driveable but needs engine work. Once this is done all you have to do is tune it and it ready to run. Car is garage kept and never see salt or rain.

Hopefully by challenged you mean owned, but depends on if they were both stock. Also everyone knows the 8 isn't great off the line.

Anyone in the metro area have the OEM fuel pump cap removal tool I could borrow? Or maybe one that has 4 prongs?

I've been trying this one but have only succeeded in banging my knuckles and breaking a couple of the tabs off.

I have the one you have. Did you make it a little smaller that the diameter of the ring so that when it goes down over the sides there is some tension? What part of town are you in - i have done this twice.

Yeah, I tried that. I even tried putting a c-clam around the tool so that it wouldn't flex as much.

I'm in Andover.

Just a reminder to everyone new with RX7/RX8's. Most owners are now active on the Facebook page posted numerous times above and not the forums any longer.

Anyone interested in a free car seat? I bought it specifically for my rx8 but don't have the car anymore, and my kid outgrew it anyway. It fits perfectly in the back seat, and matches well (black with tan trim). Its a first years compass. I'll throw in the seat belt extender too if you want it, so its easy to buckle. I only used it for a short period, its in great shape. Id hate to just throw it away if someone can use it. Shoot me a pm on the forums if you are interested.

Its a front facing booster seat style, with height adjustable back.

Hey Minnesota!

I'm a fellow Mazda owner myself. I own a 2007 Speed3 and I joined the forum to call out the RX-8 owners to help our Mazda owners / speeds community grow! I don't know of any events anytime soon, but we are planning a spring cruise (I know its not even winter yet) but we recently had a fall cruise and it was a blast. Just seeing if any fellow Mazda owners or if anybody is interested in joining our cummunity of speed owners (not selling your car etc, just to grow the Mazda community in Minnesota). It would be awesome to mix it up a bit with some other cars at events.

As most of you probably are passionate about cars, I am as well. It would be a chance to get to know more people in the Mazda community!

I know this is kind of a lame first post for this forum, but if anybody is interested post a reply.

We have kind of abandoned the forum in favor of our facebook page.

You are welcome to join us; we have a few MS3 owners.

We are quite active and have a lot of things going on, including a group tint job sometime next week, and a drive to LaCrosse this Sunday.
Let us know on FB if you are interested.

New to the RX8 just picked up a 2005 with 36000 on it . 6 speed. For those in the snow/cold, any general tips on winter use (other than warming it up)

Nice. Having driven mine through the past 4. All I can say is, let her warm up, if its snowing than DSC off at stop signs and lights and let them spin while tappin the throttle to get goin. While going (DSC ON).. if you know how to drive.. just laugh at the 4x4s in the ditch.. otherwise, tires make a difference, what kind are on ur car? and also. Join the fb page. Congrats on the buy, welcome, hope to see you at meets. And also, respond on fb, rare form anyone responds on here nowadays haha

If any one is interested in having their car to be safer for winter use, I have my almost new full set of Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 215/55- 17 mounted and balanced on MSW 5 spoke perfect wheels, all ready to go. Paid close to $790 2 winters a go from Tire Rack, tires were used one season so they only have about 1,710 miles_ like new. Smooth runners, well balanced.
Prefer to sell to anyone in need in MN because shipping 4 wheels/tires sucks. SALE price for before the snow flies $ 425.00
text to arrange_ 7633008440 First come first sold. Located 25 mins. Hwy 212, west of Eden Prairie.
