I've never used the tire/wheel company. Their website is http://visionspeedworks.com/ You can contact them through there, but from what it looks like they primarily sell specialty wheels/tires.

First off, I am by no way affiliated with the shop, but they've treated me well the many times I've been there so just wanted to inform everyone.
FirstGear Garage in Eden Prairie is doing specials on suspension components at .01 (1 cent) above their cost if you install at their shop in the month of April. I talked to Eric from the shop and he said anything on Tirerack they can get for cheap (possibly other websites as well, but we'd have to ask). Also if you don't want to install at their shop I think it's around 20% above cost of parts which still will be cheaper than buying from Tirerack direct. It's DIY shop with lifts for $35 an hour. They also have a new deal with some a local wheel/tire shop called Vision Speedwerks. See their website for more info: http://www.firstgeargarage.com/index...ction=specials I've done a bunch of installs there so just let me know if you have any questions.
Damn.. if i wasnt moving into a new place i wouldve been buyin coilovers like right now and this woulda been a sweet deal!.. stupid life interfering with my car's happiness :P

It's actually everything suspension except spring, shocks, or coilovers. Those were on special back in February.

Message to any new members/owners of RX8's. If you haven't already, we now have a Facebook group (MN RX-8) that we have found to be a LOT easier for all us members to stay in touch. If you are new, just look us up on FB.

Hey everybody. I'm a newbie here. Just bought my rx-8 a few days ago. I have massive plans for it including a few styling changes. I'll get picks up as soon as I can. In the meantime... how many other guys here from the Twin Cities?
Fantastic. Well I look forward to meeting some people around here with a similar passion for these cars. BTW, what's the best place in town to do mods to your car for a reasonable price if you can't do it yourself?
Welcome to the RX8 crew. Check out the facebook page, also we are heading to Duluth on June 1-3. We are going to be meeting by Ikea on the first and heading up about 4:30.

Ask the local members for help, I'm sure between all of them you could install almost any mod!
sounds reasonable. first thing i have to do is get a new set of tires. hope to have the rims and tires by the end of june. after that i need a cold air intake which i already picked out (http://www.racingbeat.com/RX8/Intake...ombo04-08.html), then i was thinking headlights with a halo kit and HID bulbs, then a new exhaust system, and finally a new paint job. Long projects, many hours and lots of dollars to be spent...
i would appreciate any input anybody has for me if you have any.

All depends on what you are trying to get out of the car. Some questions to ask yourself: are you going to track it (autox ect.) or are you just looking for turn head appeal. From the items you listed you're looking for the later, i.e. more noise and looks. You'll gain minimal HP from the intake and a little more than minimal from the exhaust depending on if you replace the midpipe as well. I'm sticking with performance upgrades for now since the car already has enough looks for me. I trying to get the car better for autocross this summer: fuel pump, ignition, sway bars, racing slicks, etc.

you are spot on for the head turning appeal. i'm really looking to make it more personal towards my tastes and make it more fun if possible. i am well aware this will not be cheap in anyway shape or form. but it should be a lot of fun.
Anything going down June 27-30? I'll be chillin in Minnetonka nice to see so many active members, there are none in my town. Which is funny to me I don't see how anyone can't be an enthusiast after driving an 8 let alone owning one!

You will be surprised. lol
And I'm not talking about the 50-60 years old woman who drives a red eight in South St Paul.
For us CATless fellows, i have made an air pump delete plate for myself and have left over material to make a lot more if anyone would want one. Made out of aluminum, i've had mine on for a while now and no issues. Let me know if you would be interested because i won't charge much over shipping costs.

Hi all. Any body near the Twin Cities have an R3? I am looking to purchase one, but have not been able to see/sit in the recaros. I want to make sure I fit and that they are comfortable. If possible, it would be great to meet up at a Target or something just so I could check them out.
