I am not sure if everyone is aware of the Chicago club since I just joined this forum (was primarily active on the rx7club.com one), but in case not everyone is, here is the info:
- The formal name is the Rotary Car Club of Chicago (RC3).
- Bill Alllred (BillzRX7) is the president. He is planning this year's events as we speak, with the first meeting scheduled for May (since the RR is in April). Stay tuned for the full schedule.
- There are about 200+ registered members, although I would say the number that turn out is closer to 40 - 50 for any given meeting.
- We have a couple of RX-8s registered so far, but the bulk of our members are RX-7s and a lonely RX-3. We would love to have more RX-8 owners join!
- The big event we stage every year is the Midwest Rotary Rally, coordinated with the Wisconsin and Minnesota (Northstar) clubs. We had a decent turnout of RX-8s last year, and hope to build up a big rotary community with even more thiss year. (All egenerations of RX-7 were well represented last year, plus a REPU (Rotary Engine Pick Up)).
- The club used to have an email list (until my ISP dropped that functionality), so we are looking at alternatives such as possibly a Yahoo group.
