Is this the one in June at Autobahn? I was thinking about that one also. Though I'm really debating going to a driving school - which should cost quite a bit of cash in itself.
I think Al knows we're both just teasing...though insight into his tranny issues may be helpful to all of us.
^yep, I would love to hit up an actual driving school too, but for the price thats like 3 track weekends at the very least, tough decision for me to make.
I thought I did that once, then I realized that I was looking at a Pontiac Aztec. Still hurt though. And it takes you eye a long time to heal after.
hahahah! i was once stranded in charlotte due to a snow storm (a light dusting in NC means they shut down the state, cancel school, and close up all stores) This storm dropped mebbe 5 inches that nite and NC has no snow removal force, so it all stayed on the highway. instead of staying in the airport, i decided to rent a car to get back to my sisters (im a stubborn little one!) the only thing they had that would *possibly* make it thru the snow was an aztec.
i was embarrassed to be driving it, the interior cloth looked like someone had done a technicolor puke on it, it had a shape that left oh so much to be desired and it was just fugly inside and out
that being said ... that hideous box of metal drove thru that snow like a champ!!!

Being Green is dangerous to your health.
I went to the Skip Barbour Race School back in the early 80's. It was $2K then. I trained in a Formula Ford for 3 days. I don't know what would cost today. Check the web site.
The school, that was about $40, is the Chicago Region SCCA Solo II (autocross) School. You can get details at the autoshow or at the Chicago Region web site. The school should be in April.
Skip Barber
Road America is $3695
Mid-Ohip is $3999
Im still in the learning how to drive and showing off to all my friends stage. The showing off part is a lot of fun. The occasional stall at an intersection isnt too much fun though (havn't driven many manuals before).
