This year's Ann Arbor Rolling Sculpture Show will be held on Friday, July 13th. (Yes, Friday the 13th) From 2pm to 10pm. It is located on Main Street (and several surrounding streets) in Downtown Ann Arbor.

Rolling Sculpture Show Details

I have been every year for the past few years. Usually my neighbor has his Ferrari 348 out there. With nice weather, I expect a few more will be there too.

Each year, there are around 400 cars showing ranging from the classic Model T types, to classic muscle cars, Leadsleds, Hot Rods, European Exotics, Concept Cars and modern modified sport compacts.

It's free, you can see the cars, let the wife / Girlfriend / mistress shop, go out to dinner or catch a show at the Comedy Club or visit the Hands On Museum ... and so on. The point is there is a lot to do downtown. This is a great excuse to head there.

I will be there as usual. (Not entering.) Next year, I'd like to see our club represent with 7s and 8s. It's a great way to get members to join by seeing a row of RX's and talking to the owners. The reality of it is the for $15 early registration, you get a great place to park, (haha) and usually water, hot dog and t-shirt. It's a great deal for those who register and show. Maybe next year.
