I know its a ways off, but its never to early to start planning.
The 24 Hours of LeMons, a wacky two day race featuring $500 cars, is coming to Chicago in Oct. In the past, a few RX-7s have raced, and done quite well. To show our support for one of the finest race cars ever, and the awesomest engine on the planet, I propose that we bring a fleet of Wankels down to observe. Caravans from Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire, etc all meeting at the track with the furious thunder of our 9000RPM engines would be a fantastic spectacle that would add to the vastly amusing event that is 24 Hours of LeMons. Anyone interested?

I'm going to the DETROIT BULL OIL GRAND PRIX
The local mini club is working on a car. I'll be rolling in my 8 with a bunch of minis, 'cause my 1100 is in pieces.

I think this is the first time they'll be in Chicago. The races, racers, and their cars sound like a hilarious time, and it would give us another excuse to gather the rotaries.
So, the event is looming, who all is coming!? My wife and I will be there for the fun on Saturday, and I'd love to park near some other 8s. Can't be seen mingling with those damn pistons, you know.
