Just now saw this...Did you get it out? Did mine w/o the "special" tool as I recall, was just very careful and it took some time.

Saw two RX-8s here in Singapore today, one on the way to training and one on the way back. Both were S1s, first was stock in a dark blue I've never seen Stateside. White one this afternoon with what looked like a carbon hood, some front end I've never seen, MS sideskirts and Rota Grid style wheels (I think).
Also saw a Mazda 8, it's an Odyssey size van. Looked much better than the Honda though.

Got Rear Ended by a Semi Monday
Any one recommend a good body shop?
I would like to go the dealer route so I can get Exact Paint Match & Parts
Money is no object because I am not paying for it
Kings Mazda - Jake Sweeney Mazda ?
I live in Blue Ash
Thoughts?

kings doesn't own their own shop. The one behind their dealership is independent. They fixed our CX7 and did an OK job. Customer service was so-so. Missed the delivery date by at least a week.
If you're interested in a good place and does great work, I recommend Burton's in Dear Park. They matched paint on our Miata exactly.

Made it to Fuel this morning, a little later than I normally do (it was around 1040). Couldn't stay too long, there were some nice cars and bikes though. I actually got to park in the lot for a change.

I went early and stayed only a few mins. When I was there nothing too exotic. I decided a drive was in order and drove northeast beyond Blanchester on some rural roads.

Kevin, now I know why you prefer track days over autocross. Did the AutoInterests event at Mid-Ohio yesterday in the Miata, what a blast! She ran good all day, just a little rich in boost. Unfortunately on the way home she started running weird (AFR's all over the place) so I have to address that.

yeah the track is wear my heart is. Too bad my wallet is so far behind.
I just looked. That price is crazy for a single day. Most PCA groups are $350 or so for a 2 day weekend event. Glad you had a good time though. I bet the Miata loved it. Sucks it started acting up on the way home. Time for a tow vehicle and a trailer

Don't know where you looked but we got it for $250 (normal price was $310). I was happy with that, as time goes on I might look for other places.
I got about 10 mpg for the track (that's with the AFR rich in boost). Probably the most fun I've had with a tank of gas in the car.

I'm hoping to get to Mid-O with the OVR PCA in October. We'll see.

I was at Fuel briefly this morning before the rain started. Didn't see anyone except Jason, he was busy talking to some folks so I didn't bother him. Picked up a worked head for the Miata from a guy, work was done by Jimmy at All-In.
Put some different injectors in the Miata which seems to have solved my problem. Now I just have to find a decent place to get the EV14s overhauled.

Picked up this beauty today:
Everything is good, except the morons in Service put on a front license plate despite being told specifically not to by the salesman). He's going to check with them on Tuesday to see about body colored plugs. Just got through doing some setup stuff (Bluetooth, Homelink), still lots to go but damn does this thing have a lot of electronic stuff on it.

Anyone else going to be at Fuel tomorrow?
GM of the dealer we bought the CX-5 from called me today, they are going to swap the front bumper out for one with no holes from the next one they get in (actually they are going to let me do the swap). Pretty good customer service from my perspective, especially considering all the stories you hear otherwise today.

Don't know about cheap, but I go autocross with Cincinnati SCCA.
http://cincyscca.com/autocross/scheduleresults/
Next event is end of this month down in Florence (I'll be there most likely). It's relatively small site but not too bad... If you wait for the event up in Wilmington, the site is much better, but may be longer drive depending in where you are.
Also look up MVSCC (http://www.mvscc.com). They have a lot of events up in Wilmington this year as well. They may be a little cheaper. And I think their next event is up in Wilmington.
They both are good group of people.
- please ignore the initial post... I was typing on my phone and my fat finger pressed all keys at the same time

For an HPDE track weekend, plan on spending $300-450 for the event, plus gas, hotel, food, beverages, and tires and pads as you need them. You get 2+ hours of on track time in a weekend.
Auto X tends to be considerably cheaper at $30-50 per event. As long as you have a decent amount of tread and pads you can have a good time and not ruin anything. You get 4-10 minutes of track time per event depending on number of cars/runs per person and how fast you are.
