Winter Tires
Hello all-
New to the webiste. Finally bought my dream RX-8.
Since I live in Colorado and have been a Jeep owner for a long time, I am now learning a lot about the RX-8.
I am going to put winter tires on the car and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I am looking at the Bridgestone Blizzak WS70's. Would this be a good tire for the winter months?
I so wish I was able to have another car for the winter but right now I can't. Obviously if it snows badly I wont be taking it out but dont want to get stuck at work or something if a freak snowstorm hits (even though our snow seems to melt by the next day on the front range)
I live in Longmont and, generally, they are pretty good about getting the roads cleared quickly. I live near a high school so that helps the roads around my house get extra attention.
Anyways any help would be great-

Any winter tire will certainly get you by. Blizzaks and Nokians are some of the best.
If you have the option downsize to 17 inch rims (can't go lower or they won't fit over the brakes). Cheaper tires and better snow performance.
