This was an awesome time and for those that didnt make it much was missed out on including some good laughs provided by my first time there. You certainly gain a significant appreciation for the 8 too.

Thanks BC for the pics.

The rest of you need to show some love for your 8s and get to the next track day.

Next time, I will have the camera setup for my front bumper, and we will have actual video of one car stalking another. That will be much more fun.

November get together

Anyone else have any ambitions and ideas for a get together this month? HPR is out until at lease the 2nd week of December, but beers or pool or anything else could work. Maybe a go cart track?

Heh,

We could get together on the next decent snow day, find a huge empty lot, create an autocross track, and see who's the best in the snow.

Unser racing at I76 & I25 is an indoor gokart track. They just purchased an entire fleet of new karts.

I like that idea and was thinking the same. Heres the link to rates and their site.

http://unserracing.com/?q=pricing

I do have my snows on my 8 now though so that could be interesting so a lot autocross could be interesting, but maybe baby steps to getting more 8s to the track.

Looks like a Monday/Tuesday would be the best deal, but I am sure they would be packed because of that.

What happened to the go karting meet? Any interest in still setting that up?

I think for me it probably is for a month or 2 with HPR indicating it will be open in about 2-3 weeks. I used the CO Mazda forum meet by D.Walker as my monthly outing for November. The holiday season upon us I expect to make schedules pretty tight.

Ok, well let me know of any upcoming meets that are happening. I plan to make it to HPR *eventually*, but that is still probably a little bit away still.

You could still come to HPR and just to see Bladecutter hand me my butt. I think we may even be there next week. It’s a free track day for customer appreciation, but not sure on the specifics there.

Or you can come to watch all the other cars on the track blow past both of us.
And if you bring a helmet, you can ride along in one of our cars, and watch it happen up close and personal.

They havent announced the day yet, but will be doing so on the 24th (Christmas Eve). It will be the week of the 26th according to the website.

From what I see in the weather the week is wide open at this point.

Free track day at HPR came and went, I couldnt make it either on account of too much ice on the street for 100' that would have made driving on the track tires interesting. Im shooting for sometime in January hopefully after its been free of new snow for 3 weeks and minimal ice left around.

My brother goes to the instructor days with the BMWCCA, so I plan on going with him this year. But if you guys go sooner, I would love to come and do some ride alongs.

Are any of you involved with the RMSolo group? I plan on doing that as well.
