They'd have duplicated the issue had they actually run the tests I asked them to run.

They also failed to allign my bumper correctly when they replaced my AC condenser, but another dealer did it for free.
Ryan,
Burt tryed to fix your problems, but again you never returned any phone calls. Also Burt Didnt make the decision to not fix your car, mazda did. You need to tell the hole story just not part of it.

Who is Carl? Is it Carl Best the regional guy you mentioned in another thread? Paul who? The moderator?

Who do they recommend then? Which CO service department has the most experience?

Sorry about all the questions, but my car had a really hard time starting last night and now I have a CEL.

I have always taken my car to Burt; however, last time, it looked like they either overfilled my engine with oil OR they turned my engine on without the engine cover and oil cap on. My hood liner now has a big oil spot on it.

Ed tried to take care of me, but I feel a little uneasy.

Ryan,
Burt would have fixed the problem, however if Carl Best Tells us not to touch the car, we cant touch a car. It was never Burt's decision to not fix your car. We tried to help you to get you to come in and talk with the gm, and other people as we were going to road test the car with you, but you never responded to us. There is a deeper problem that goes back with your car and another dealership, that has something to do with the reason Carl wouldn't allow us to touch your car. I won't say what that is because i don't feel the public needs to know that, however, you know as well as the rest of us here at burt, what the truth is. Carl again made that decision, not us. Jimmy is one of the only and few mazda certified techs in the state, so i think he knows what he's doing. Mistakes happen with every tech in the state, and not to say jimmy is the one that worked on your car, becuase i don't know that, but there is a bigger problem then what you say there is. Also just to let you know, i dont know the hole story with your car, but i know what ive been told by carl. Mazda also is recalling Rx-8's do to a similar problem, which everyone will know about if they dont already very shortly.

Well, as a follow up...I had my car in to the shop. They were going to replace the brakes under the TSB and they were unable to figure out my stereo issue. The brakes were backordered and I was told I would get a call. I had not heard anything in 2 weeks so I called and was told one more week...all in all it is a month later, no call, no brakes, and a stereo that randomly skips stations, tracks and sirius channels. Also there was a slice on one of the trim pieces that they had adjusted, Ed said he would replace it for me even though he didn't see how they could have done it. (Which was a refreshing chage from the usual "We didn't do it") I was very happy with the service, but so far the follow up and completion is not so hot.
