Anyone for a Colorado Springs Meet?

Hi Springs Folks!

Before it gets too cold for some, I'd like to meet some RX owners from the area.

I've been living in the Springs over a year now, and just about done settling in.

Any size RX meeting would be great here in the Springs; 7's, 8's, anything with a rotary in it.
I've run meetings and cruises for the SoCal RX Club before moving here and still go back to help my boys with Sevenstock.

I also have posters to hand out >> RX-8, Laguna Seca (all rotaries on track), and a rotary art collage.

Anyone interested?

BTW, I've heard that a bunch of car enthusiasts get together at the old Grocery Warehouse parking lot near Powers Blvd and Constitution on Saturdays. I guess the cars line up in rows accroding to makes, classics, imports, etc. I might go check this out soon.

I'd be up for a meet, although I'm up in Denver. A local Mazda club (www.coloradomazdaclub.com) did a cruise down there a couple of weeks ago to Bishop's Castle. It was a blast. We're having a photo meet/foothills cruise next weekend (Oct 20th) as well.

I'm up for meeting some new rotaries though! Any ideas on when?

Took a look at the map to Bishop's Castle...Looks like a nice drive.

Been looking @ the CMZC forum, didn't seem to be active in the Springs, but I'll look around better next time.

I did see the event for the 20th, but no location has been set. I wouldn't consider going further than Downtown, since I'm in COS; the FD gulps fuel.

I'm gonna get a feel for a meeting from the 7 forum, see what kind of response comes around.

Hopefully by the first Sat in Nov, with 7-10 days notice on time and location.
Maybe a place like Fatburger, Goodtimes, or good BBQ place, for under $10/ meal.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that some folks are meeting in the Springs Nov 3rd. If you're interested just let me know. I think they're still decided on a location.

Here's the plan:

Meet at Chapel Hills at 4 PM, cruise to Cottonwood, then a wrap up at some place called Rhinos. Hope to see folks there.

If you're driving down from Denver, we're meeting at Chili's off Lincoln/I-25 (on the west side of the highway).
