Hi there, Sorry I'm not on these boards much. If you read down in the thread I think I posted a crappy wiring diagram. Basically the idea is to open the module, remove the two relays that break, solder in new wire as per diagram, and disconnect the handbrake pin from inside the module(cut it). I've been driving with no DRLs for over 3 years now.

Other option is to talk to that forum member I think DarkBrew who repairs them commercially.

    Hello there,

I recently purchase an RX8 and I do have broken DRL module. I was reading an old post from you in that matter and wondering if you will be able to send me those instructions (see bellow - your old post) before I start to experiment.

"I was able to "fix" my broken DRL module so that I have high beams and manual headlights.
The problem with my module was one of the 2 relays became defective. my 0$ solution was to remove the relays and replace them with wires to make the appropriate connections to pass through for high beams. Also I had to remove the connection inside the module that detects the position of the handbrake. I have more details on this if someone wants to do the same.

You end up with a car where everything works, and you have manual control of the headlights. (no more DRL)"

    Best regards,
    Rade
