It should be $1000. I'm actually doing $800 these days as an increase from $500 where people didn't feel inclined to send their cores back.

I sell cores at $1000 if you want one.

We can do a ported motor for you. I would recommend our ceramic seals with that also, especially in naturally aspirated trim.

hmm.

lets say if I take a reman /w street port, does it come with some sort of *warranty* with it ?

Cuz there are too many *bad Mazda reman* news out there. Im sure you guys know what you're doing. but if it comes with some sort of warranty it makes the buyers (maybe me) much more comfortable.

how much for porting, lets say, street ?

and you said u sell just cores right? hmm, I wonder if I buy one of the cores from you guys, will I be able to fix it myself. never had any engine rebuild exp b4, I would like to try one. but there is no way for me to know if it actually works or not (if I do rebuild one myself)

Plus, what if the core itself is so bad in shape that I have to replace *everything* ? lol

I can answer that.

Its more like Yes and No

I read a lot of info about this. it could be done but, too much work, not worth it.

So Nope.

Paul, when my motor dies someday in the near future, how much would you charge to rebuild it??

Oh, and I will continue to use F/I.

It can be done. The expense is intense though. We would do it if Mazda wanted to be involved, which of course, they could do it themselves if Mazda Corp (Japan) had any interest or desire to participate. It would mean making all new rotors.

Paul, Do you still sell the core ?

I want to try to rebuild one myself. What is the *most common* problem that you see in the returned core ?

trying to see if I can save a few bux by rebuilding it myself (and learn)

Recently I've seen some that had extensive damage due to apex seal failure since 3 of our recent cores were from turbocharged applications. This means we have to use much more new parts in a rebuild.

I'm looking at our pricing on rebuilds at present since there are things we do that aren't done elsewhere and increasing costs.

I have an auto that still ran but with low vaccuum and at least 1 manual core that should have minimal damage. I'd do either for $1000 ($900) this month.
