Question Yamaha Speaker Question

Didn't know if I could post in Audio/Video Section since these speakers aren't meant for the RX8. Sorry if I messed up.

I bought a real nice Yamaha System for my entertainment room downstairs about a month ago. Whole setup was about $3,500. I would suggest it to anyone who is a search for a good entertainment system. The music sounds great! I can turn it up to about -30 on the volume and the speakers are very loud and clear. But there are 2 sets of inputs on the back of each speaker. For the people on the Forum that are good with this type of stuff. Was I suppose to hook both sets up or is it just fine with one? The manual is huge and I couldn't find anything that really clarified it for me.

And this is what I'm actually talking about:

Thanks for the help. I'll have to post something on an Audio website as well.

It's for bi-amplifying the speakers. Which is basically the use of two amplifiers. One to power the bass, and one for the mid-high drivers. It will provide greater dynamic range, since a single amp doesnt have to reproduce the entire frequency range. It turns the subwoofer into a powered sub, instead of passive, which is what you have when you only connect one amplifier.

The way you connected it is fine. If you wanted to bi-amp, you would simply take off the jumper straps and connect the other amp. Because of the jumper straps you can connect to either set of binding posts.

Thanks Blue! If I'm understanding you correctly. Can I take off the binding post and have one set of wires coming from the Receiver's Amp and the other coming from the Sub's Amp? Cause the back of the Sub's Amp says " Output to Speakers".
