wow it's been a while...

After taking a several month leave of absence from this site for school, and trying to read all of the new articles on this site I came to a realization. Probably a no-brainer for most of you here, but WOW this site has really boomed in the past few months. I remember when nobody had more than 75 posts, and now people are topping 500 posts and maybe more (sorry if I haven't seen you yet).
I think it's kinda cool to see how a car that isn't even out yet, let alone has a release date can bring a community of people together for a common cause from all across the world.
Just had to tell yall that I guess...

Yippie! Strider's back! I have been laying low a bit too. I don't post as much as I have in the past. It's fun to read all the same questions and comments from the newer posters all over again. We still don't have much more info then we did in April. At sevenStock they said that a lot more info would be coming down the pipe in the next couple of months though. Stay tuned!

What info we do have is summarized in the FAQ (accessible from the main page.) Of note is more concrete information about unveiling and delivery - we now have pretty solid info that the RX-8 will be unveiled at NAIAS 2003 in detroit, and that delivery will start no later than May 1, 2003.

Welcome back Strider. I remember you being active when I first registered months ago.

I've been more of a lurker here recently myself. It seems that when I post, I do so in bunches. I must have writers cramp in between those streaks. I've been checking back every so often to see if there is any new information, and it is finally trickling in slowly. I've spent more time lurking on the G35 boards recently as we prepare to buy a sedan for my wife. Somebody buy my 328i dang it so we can be done with it! I still can't wait for the RX-8 to come out so I can have my dream car too.

PatrickB, great job on that information post! Helped me catch up a lot.

Styjan, wow, I wouldv'e thought that you of all poeple would have had the highest post rating of us all. If I remember correctly you were the first person to get above 100 posts. But then again if a person can lie low the he/she can retain the knowledge... (insert philosophical comment here :D )

KayakDaddy, 328i... mmm BMW... sounds tempting... but... then I would be in the same boat if I tried to get rid of my car.

btw, the new blood thing... I've been spreading the RX-8 love to everybody that 1/2way knows cars to inform them before they get smacked in the forehead by a beautiful piece of machinery. Most however only want to reminisce about the RX-7 or how it had engine issues. Oh well we have seen the light and we shall be saved ... or something like that

Strider-

I get the same thing whenever I bring up the RX-8. Oh well to bad for them. I was thinking about going with a German car but the more I see of the 8 the more I like it. Plus I just sold my Miata so I will be more than ready to drive a great handling car like the RX-8 should be.
