anyone here watch MMA (mixed martial arts) besides me? NONE of those guys in the Best Action Hero poll would even last 5 seconds in the ring with these real fighters...in your opinion, who's the best pound for pound?
i could only fit 10 poll choices, of course there are a lot more

You forgot to list IkeWRX in the poll! I'd vote for him, only because I haven't heard of any of the other guys... :D
Regards,
Gordon

=) good to know ppl watch! Royce has been losing a lot of his matches recently due to everyone studying his technique and perfecting against his guard...Kazushi Sakuraba beat 4 Gracie's including Royce in a 2 hour fight on Pride and is now nicknamed the Gracie Hunter...
Sak is my favorite because of his unorthodox and completely unpredictable style...you never know when he's going to do Mongolian Chops, his patended cartwheel pass, a Kimura into an armbar, or grab you by your feet and run around in circles! he actually does this in live matches...too bad due to injuries he's been losing his matches lately...

yeah the gracie style has been studied and used against them.. As I said back in the day people didn't know what hit them. I liked seeing 160lb gracie square off against a monster like shamrock, amazing how he could hold his own..
did you see the last UFC with Tito Ortiz vs. Randy Couture? i thought Tito was invincible after he made Ken Shamrock his personal punching bag but Randy outclassed him with his own ground and pound game...Randy was also voted #1 legend of MMA
Based on entertaining fights though, Royce sucks... boring to watch, hugs you all day, and licks people's faces. At least Hickson throws punches.
For most fun to watch, I'd pick the laggard, no Stamina, Tank Abbot. That 3 second knockdown on that sumo guy was fun to watch.
They should allow nut kicking/punching back... I remember in UFC 3-4 Joe Sun or something had a headlock on this guy, and the guy kept punching Joe in the nuts, over and over. Joe won, but he couldn't continue the next round because his nuts swelled up to a grapefruit. Good times.

Probably why they changed some of the rules... But if it's about kicking someone's *** I think that style showed what can be done against someone's weak points regardless of physical size. Jumping around "Kungfu style" like a kansas city filly may look pretty but useless in the real world.
I voted for Royce. I haven't seen many of the recent ones, but I was a huge fan of UFC when they first began, I still have the first 8 or so on tape. I even had an Ultimate New Year UFC party 5 or 6 years ago.
It was cool before they got so organized and had the sumo guy, and the boxers, putting different disciplines together. I just lost interest after a while.
From what I saw, Royce was the best, but his style could get boring after a while. They could end very quickly though!
