AUSTELL, Ga. — A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia, authorities said.
Six Flags officials are uncertain why 17-year-old Asia Leeshawn Ferguson of Springfield, South Carolina scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.
Authorities were investigating reports from witnesses who said the Ferguson jumped the fences to retrieve a hat he lost while riding the Batman roller coaster, said Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce. Police have declined to release the teenager's name until an autopsy is completed.

I heard about this a couple of days ago. The family of the boy now has a lawsuit pending on the grounds that the park didn't do enough to protect the guy. There were 2 fences, 1 with razorwire on top and signs everywhere that said danger. What more needs to be done?
Here's what's going to happen. Six Flags will determine that it will cost them a million in legal fees to fight this. They'll offer to settle out of court with the family for half of that. If they accept, Six Flags will feel fortunate that they "saved" a half a million dollars. If the family doesn't accept and continues in court, they'll fight it, some liberal moronic jury and judge will find Six Flags guilty and they'll end up paying $50 million in "damages" to the family. The family will take their money, live life to the fullest without a care in the world, and claim that their son was a victim having done nothing wrong. Theme parks everywhere will change their operating procedures and it'll be tough having fun at them ever again. Thanks to one stupid kid who got what was coming to him.

Other witnesses said, according to other news stories, that he dared he could touch the coaster, which sounds more likely. If you lost your hat you would probably get it before you left the park or better yet, left the ride.

I think i'm going to start using "conservative" every time something happens thats bad.
It is a bad word unless we put it into a context such as "They had a liberal amount of sex". In that context it's a good thing. A very good thing! It's also a slang term for a mental disease that has afflicted half of the country but has now taken on the form of "liberalism".

Unfortunately individuals, even those who may be "smarter than that," can be too arrogant to see ignorance. Which usually leads to painting broad strokes using broad brushes while high on the kool-aid someone else fed them. I pray for such people, but their numbers seem to grow nonetheless.

I don't know if it's true or not. I WILL tell you that politicians who would otherwise consider themselves to be liberal will call themselves progressives instead as being labelled as liberal in the context of being a politician in the US has been demonized to the point of oftentimes being unelectable. That I agree with that characterization is beside the point. The POINT is then that liberal IS a bad word and to that end I stand by my comment.

This has to be one of the stupidest lawsuits ever! That kid was clearly at fault and there were clearly signs everywhere saying to stay out, as if the fences were enough of a warning. What would be great (although certainly not happening) is if Judge Judy could be the presiding judge in the case. I love when she rips into someone for being stupid! The best action would be to throw the case out for lack of merit, or if the family lost and had to pay the legal fees for Six Flags.
What is even more disgusting about this whole situation is that this was a church trip. Last time I went to church it was still all about personal responsibility and if you do something stupid, then you deserve to suffer the consequences, not be rewarded in some way for it! I would have respected the family had they said they weren't going to sue because their son was totally at fault here.
