From my many miles of driving and listening to books on tape I have racked up a real library.
I have between 500 and 1000 Books on tape and CD. Most of the Best sellers for the past 5 years. (Some of the books were up to $50!) I have no idea how to resell them or how to value (devalue). My son-in -law says ebay charges per item so that would be kinda nuts. Does anyone know of spot where people buy and sell used audio books? Maybe some kind of a drivers web site (like truck stops where they sell books on tape)?

e-bays charge is minimal and I would say that is your best bet. But if you insist usually there is a used book retailer in your area and they they may buy them from you. I wouldn't expect as much going the second route.
Either ebay or even through Amazon.com....ebay's fee is so minimal you won't notice especially on things within a $30-$50 price range...have fun setting those auctions up ...whew...that's gonna be late night for you...lol...

Good idea...like all the Grisholms and Crichtons and Stephen Kings and Ann Rice and Clive Cussler...group them by author so people who like the suthor might buy them all. I was only thing of asking $5 or $10 buck per book and have never used (sold) on ebay.
You sound like a nice guy. Tell you what - I'll take them all for, what, say $10,000? My libraries getting thin when I go to select one. Let me know if you think this price is fair.
Let me see..I have 1000 books some of which I paid $19.95 for and some (the most expensive ) $90. I think I will price them at 25% of theoriginal purchase price and go from there. I have never used ebay or amazon.com so I appreciate your suggestions/. I started getting books on tape when in one day I went from 20/20 to almost no sight (really hard for a racer). Surgery brought back sight (thank God) but now I have a collection I would like to give someone else a shot at for a big discount.
Actually I would send them all to you for $1000. (plus shipping)...I will have to give you the final count of titles (do you really want Nora Roberts?) that is exactly what I need to help my daughter fence her yard.
If you do list them all on Ebay start the auctions at $1, it gets more people watching the auction and you won't pay as much to list it. At least that't the way it used to work...
