Yes i got a new car and no it isnt a rotary.......Only reason i ask is because there seem to be some elitist members here that might not want me around regardless of the info, insight, knowlege i give or have......I been here a long time now and this place seems to be degrading to a lower type of forum in my humble opinion.....the newer members are not like they used to be....thake for instance this quote

personally i think that its quite sad that people can proudly bash on older members that have been around much longer and have a much deeper knowledge on the car....i have almost always tried to help make the right decisions on thier mods both on and off this board, i have made a regular meet come to fruition in the NE, taught people how to mod thier cars and how not to, i have assited in setting up major events along with several local meets, brought the 7 and 8 community closer in doing this and i get questioned as to why i am here.....i just dont get it.........so should i stay or should i go?

there are plenty of older members on that don't have their 8s anymore. there's no reason for you to leave. you had a very unique 8 and have been around long enough to have seen the noobs come and go and also to get and add plenty of useful info. plus the meets are about getting together with good people and to share a little pie - 8 or no 8.

People's needs and situation change. While I might own another rotary car in the future I might not always have the RX8. This doesn't mean i won't want to continue to expand my understanding of the car or it's technology.
Don't let that nonsense get to you. Every group has it's bad apples and RX8club is no exception.
why are you even asking? of course you should go. j/k i should have gone 2 years ago. you're a valuable asset to the forum when you're not post whoring.

Please don't go...you are far too insightful and fun to leave us now. You will always be a member, not matter if you had bought a Pinto to rice. Besides, who'll bring the pie if you leave?
Leave those ignorant comments where they lie and be at peace knowing the greater members know who you truely are.

You should definitely stay. I think there are many former 8 owners that still post here, and it is no problem at all. There are even a few NC MX-5 owners as well (me included). Different perspectives are great to have.
I do agree though the the RX8 board is changing for the worse, in my opinion. It still is better than most boards out there, though. Miata.net is a good forum too, very respectful and polite, but far less tech knowledge (rotary and general) than here. Also, the demographic is nowhere near as diverse as on this board.
Either way, I enjoy surfing and posting on both. You can have the best of both worlds.

Hey Chris...congrats on the new car. I don't know how I mised the thread. Screw the elitist members. Let's revisit that after they have had a couple engines or transmission replaced. Their opinion might change then.
I'm in the same boat. I pick up my new car tonight.

Hell no Chris, your one of the coolest old school members here. even though i dont like v-slide kits. i secretly liked yours , just scared to admit it lol. and just give a middle finger salute to these elitist.
and plus you use to skateboard during the time i did
they should give memebers like you and xdeed with their 10k post a ban stick
sweet, i know you like it. my friend drops kicks me in the face. it hurt at the time, but a really awesome scene. ill email my Game Master at our Dungeon and Dragons club.
since when is a board EVER specific and on topic to exactly what the board was intended for? If that were the case I should have never signed up :P
chris, you know your **** about 8s and can be just as helpful as the next guy. and like many on this board, there are friendships that have formed that you shouldn't have to give up just because you sold your car... and you are my pie support on these boards!
aww i love you guys....you are all the reason why people who get new cars cant leave this place...its just the new owners can be suck asshats....what happens to the old school if they go....the knowledge goes with them leaving the newbs to fend for themselves and destroy what they got....they just dont get it i guess
chris dont pay attention to people who associate themself after a part of the human body which fecal matter falls from. i dont own a 8 and this community has shown me more respect and love then the mz3 communtiy has.

idk, with 10K+ postings you must have some information that would be of interest to the community. If you see yourself as an asset to the community and you are able to provide pertinent information... then stay.
