TX Samsung Galaxy S 4g

I was thinking of purchasing it since the S2 isn't expected on Tmobile till Q3 of this year. I was curious if anyone has had experience with either.

I've also read about Tmobile's G2X??? According to my online research, it is better than the S 4g.

Any thoughts or user reviews?

I had a captivate on AT&T. Let me just tell you the whole Galaxy line is complete ****! The GPS doesn't work and battery life sucks. Not to mention Samsung uses their own file system away from the standard linux file system and it causes all sorts of problems. The Galaxy S 4G was also reduced to like 2GB of internal space (from 16GB on its older brother the Vibrant).

Do NOT buy Samsung if you want stability and reliability. They refused to fix, warrant, or address the GPS issue. They only said it would be fixed by a software update that never came.

Get the G2x. I actually just got it a month ago and its the best phone I've ever had. 1GHZ Dual Core/decent battery life/Front Facing Camera/8GB internal/512 MB RAM/HDMI Out. The only thing the Galaxy 4G has is the super amoled screen. It's an awesome screen, but it's not worth the hassle of Samsung.

BTW, the Captivate and the Vibrant were identical except form factor. The vibrant and the Gal 4g are identical except 4g and lower storage capacity, so I think my experience would role over to the Vibrant from the Captivate.

^damn I have had zero issues with my captivate, no gps issues, memory issues or anything else. Battery does alright to, usually 2 days with lots of texting and little internet use

Well I am currently using a unlocked iphone 3g right now on Tmobile, its sufficient but it is kinda old and I am locked in contract till September of next year, hence why thinking of purchasing the Galaxy S 4g for $129- according to tmobile's site.

To better identify my needs, I am quite happy with the iphone 3g, I am not a techie into phones, I use it for mostly talk text email, I do have apps, but about 13 at the most, I don't care to purchase apps that I will not use, just wastes memory obviously. With that said, is the s 4g good for me?

My brother has a 3gs and it is a good step up from the 3g and I would be happy with it but I cannot find one for a reasonable price. I tried bidding on one on Ebay but it went up to $300!!

I am also curious about the memory of the s 4g. I've read online that it does not have enough internal memory. According to online, it has 1g of internal memory PLUS 16 g in a microSD card installed.....meaning 17 g? For someone coming from an Iphone 3g with 8G of memory, would the galaxy be sufficient for my needs?

On the G2X, from what I've read, it seems heavily-based towards gamers and movies, I could be wrong but I don't really care for games or movies on a phone.
