Agreed, I didn't like the last GTA...Last GTA I enjoyed and loved was Vice City. Then again, I love the 80s.
I liked the 80s feel of Vice City, but the story line is more compelling in San Andreas. I can't wait until the next GTA comes out. It will probably be the reason I buy an Xbox 360.
Shit, there are a butt ton of titles that made me get a 360. Just off the top of my head Gears of War, Halo 3, Dead Rising.
Halo 3 isn't even out yet so there's no reason to get a 360 for a game that might not be out for over a year. I hate the tiny 360 controller with a passion so there's no reason to buy a 360 now to play my original Xbox games either. I don't play a lot of games so I need totally awesome games like GTA to make it worth my while.

Wow, you're the first person I've heard say that they hate the 360 controller! It is widely considered the best contoller ever made. And I'd have to agree.

Yeha I know -- welcome to my misery. I still use the original Xbox controller (aka: the Duke). I have big hands and I have to contort my hands in odds shapes to use the S-type or 360 controller. Another problem is that the 360 controllers thumbsticks are too short so it doesn't follow the natural movement of my thumbs. The tension doesn't appear to be linear with the thumbsticks either which makes smooth movements much harder.
All my friends are the same way. Some like the S-type better than the Duke, but they all complain about the thumbstick tension issue. I think most people can't tell the difference and get off on the fact that it's wireless. There's probably only a small number of people who would actually like the controller more if you removed the wireless and shoulder buttons.
I loved the duke - I also love saints row - multi player would be kewl - and it is a good start on nice multi for the genre - but damn it is buggy - fix that code please - I stopped playing multi and started back in single - I am like 77% done - I have finished all the missions but still have some activities to complete-don wanna give any spoilers but does the ending change if u get all activities done on the last part - that is so weak......

I didn't like the duke or the S(ucks)-Controller. I loved the Mad-Katz controller. It was medium sized and fit my hands perfectly. It's just a shame that they would ware out way too fast.

i think the 360 controller is the best controller ever made.
The only issue I have with it is the poor start button placement. Sometimes during quick flicks of the right stick (mostly in sports games) I end up sliding off the stick and hitting pause. :P
Oh, and saints row is awesome. Volition did an awesome job.

I'll see your overly dramatic and absolute statement with one of my own!
"i think the Duke controller is the best controller ever made."
I hate having to deal with the aftermath of complaints of the tiny handed of the world. Microsoft should sell an adapter so I can use my Duke on the 360. But, of course, they won't do this because they can charge more for a new controller. And now that they've gone USB you can't have a third-party make an adapter because it won't be digitally signed. Maybe one day the 360 will be hacked and I can rig up my own adapter. Or I'll just keep complaining about it -- seems more American.
I did some digging and apparently I'm not the only one out there without child-like hands. At least a few people greatly prefer the Duke especially for games like Halo. One guy in particular gave me a great idea -- swap out the 360 thumbsticks for the ones from a Duke controller. I'm still a little worried that even after I do this the thumbstick pressure still won't be uniform and will still be too sensitive (for me), but at least I won't have to bend my thumbs so much.
