Rotary Engine Animated Gif

Does anyone know where I can get a good animated gif of the rotor spinning inside the housing with or without the E-shaft? I'm looking to make a new screensaver/background for my cell phone and I dont have a good stock image of the engine.

So if you've got one, can you either post it here or link me to it?

Thanks kids,

Ajax

Well crap. That worked. I didnt even have to convert it to QMD format. I just sent it the straight gif and it came up just fine. It looks like I might want to scale it a bit though so that the rx8 at the bottom isnt covered by the menus.

Ok.. i take that back.. there's some interesting errata with this new picture mail stuff.. the preview of an animated gif will cause the phone to reboot.. until you remove the file, power it off and pop the battery.

I'll see if i can get one of the sprintusers guys to convert this properly for me.

It looks ok though. As you can see, I stole a pretty picture too :b

I looked at using that gif at first as well. The problem I have is that the animation is actually flawed. The rotor backs up right before ignition.
I wonder if i could disassemble the animation..

Let's find out :b

Ahh.. it's not backing up.. it's just repeating the first frame at the end so when it loops it looks a little funky.

It was actually missing a frame between the intake stroke and the compression stroke as well. I put it back and got this:

I found this webpage and thought it had a some great cad animations that show exploded views in motion and diplays individual componets in cycle.

Not exactly a gif but well worth the download...
