"Idling 2004 and 2005 Mazda RX8s found to overheat, melting exhaust system parts - 7/29/05
Consumer Reports has listed a recall of 2004 and 2005 Mazda RX8 sport cars. If these vehicles are parked and the engine is revved for a while, parts around the exhaust system can melt, causing various system malfunctions and posing a risk of fire. Some of the hazards possible from this defect include failure of the oxygen sensor, backup light failure, problems with the parking brake, fuel-gauge malfunction, and leaks from damaged fuel tanks.
Consumers are urged to call their dealer to arrange for inspection and replacement of damaged parts. For more information, call Mazda toll-free at 1-800-222-5500."
Hope is helpfull to someone
