Project Gotham Racing

So, I was depressed...I didn't go out on Halloween! Okay, so I was mad. So I went downstairs and fired up the old xbox. Hmm...I'll play Project Gotham Racing. Select the RX-8, and I'm screeching through london in a very lifelike RX-8. Hey! The redline is at 10,000, and the tach goes all the way to 12,000! Guess there have been changes since summer, 2001. Anyways, guys, if you want to drive an RX-8 really bad right now, go and pick up an Xbox and get gotham. Too bad I can't get that '8 in yellow...

How in the world do you get the RX-8. Every time it looks like it is my next car, then they stuff a Panoz or a Boxster S in there.

I want the RX-8, but I'm wondering if I"ll ever get it. I'm not the best PGR player, but I feel I'm pretty solid.

Just use the one in GT3. 500hp+ NA output from a modified engine! :D I can outrun some of the purpose built race cars!

Ok, it's only the first prototype, but it seems pretty accurate. Doesn't handle as well as I'd like though.

The one that I have in GT3 kicks some serious *** and can easily out run the race cars like fuz said. Fuz, I had a good settings website that made a good Rx-8 setting so I'll see if I can find it for you.

it's a really competant car!! but one thing it doesn't like is being dropped too much... a supple suspension always helps...

anyhoo, i compared it with the 350Z, and i believe it's lighter, and (if memory serves me correctly) it's got more power than the 350Z at full tune... still nothing compares to the RX-7 though :P heh heh... i LOVE burning out in that game... nothing touches GT3...

Yah the 350Z is really slow in GT3, which seems odd. It's rather heavy too.

The RX-8 on the other hand, weighs almost nothing, and needs a relatively soft suspension if you don't want wheel hop and unexpected drifts. It's much faster and better handling than the majority of cars in the game. I've tuned it quite well, but it's still a good level below my modified RX-7LM race car, and of course, totaly blown away by the 787B :D

Hey, In Gotham, you have to look on the bottom to see what is required to get that car, just because its next on the list, doesn't mean its the next car you're getting!

actually, all things considered, the 787B is nearly the quickest car in the game (F1 cars excluded, OBVIOUSLY... the engine has to be able to run for 100 miles before losing compression )!! it sure is the fastest stock LMP in the game...
