Eyes black and red, face hurts like hell, and a concussion...ouch...
But truthfully, im lucky to be alive right now.. now for the story behind what happened...
Short version: i broke a fall off a bridge into water with my face/head at 70mph... (it was a accident)
Long version: Im in key west with family. We all went to this bridge to go bridge jumping, its a popular thing to do in the keys to us locals. Its just a very high bridge, and mistakes happen, and this is the result. Troll all you want, but honestly this was a pretty serious post as i could honestly say, i very easily could have snapped my neck back and been paralyzed or died. I got lucky and managed to only have bruises and a concussion. Wanted to remind everyone that it doesnt matter what you are doing, just be careful and think about your actions because you never know. Had i continued doing regular jumps yesterday i would have been fine, but one foolish decision and mistake and that easily could have meant my life, but i was given a second chance. You arent always given second chances, so be careful everyone.
The picture on the right is within two hours of the incident, the picture on the left is a couple hours further into the evening after the one on the right. bruising and discoloration has gotten worse, but im alright.

glad to hear you're alive, but at the same time it sounds like a local tradition passed on by the local drunk. Water is like concrete at at high speeds.
honestly, i cannot remember the name of the bridge at all.. or what mile marker it was located it. however even if i knew what bridge it is hard to get to since it is on the backroads of an island about 30 minutes north of key west, its not bridge in heavy use today, this bridge is on a closed road that no longer sees traffic. I go to key west all the time as i have family who lives on the island so im fortunate and can go down and stay at one of their houses for free.

Is it the old highway that runs parallel to the current 7 mi bridge? I don't know of any other bridges down there.

no, its a different bridge over a inlet/canal on an island that runs from the bay into the island for the homeowners that have boats and drive them into the docks in their back yards.
