Yeah, love the car, only thing is only 2,000 being made. Some people are already putting the deposit down for one.
I read an article about it that it was going to be under 22,000$ US which is not that bad considering what you get. The CDN price wasn't mentioned, but it should be around 26,000 CDN since the prices don't always match up straight up with the conversion.
The article also said that Callaway (company that made the turbo for it), tested the car around a famous track in Conneticut, and it performed better then the 227hp WRX!!!!
The only other thing that kinda sucked was the power amp in the trunk. It was about the size of a microwave oven. The big box defeated the trunks usability and fold down rear seat option.
But to some the 400+ watts of ear drum blowing sound is worth loosing trunk space over.
Ahh...it's good to see the name Mazdaspeed finally gracing something in the US. With the RX-8 just around the corner, Mazda may just resurrect itself yet. If only they could start selling the FD3s again...
