Girls have two ladders: 1) one for rich, powerful guys or outlaw bikers (outlaw bikers come in because of the scarcity of rich guys) and 2) intellectual guy "friends" (the so-called nice guys)
Guys always have one ladder for all girls and never consider any girl "just a friend", of course unless it is a "friend with benefits" deal.

My thought on this...men and women can be friends...but only after they have tried to date or one is ineligible (has a boyfriend/girlfriend or is married). Then and only then...it is possible. In every friendship between a guy and girl, there is one of them that would like to be with the other in a more intimate way if this has not already ocurred.
This thing made me luagh...I read it back in like 9th grade or so. It holds some truth. I mean, i have a ton of guy friends who i have never hooked up with nor would ever...but guys have such a much harder time with that!! With the exception of my joe and some of my other guy friends--guys really can't be friends with a girl w/o some form of sexual intrest...(shrug) oh well--guys will be guys and we use that fact and knowledge to our advantage 90% of the time :D

Oh, and just tell her that she has been bad and needs to be put in cuffs, I bet she won't be so distant after that. :D

it would really help if girls weren't so damned sexy, maybe we wouldnt have a sexual interest if girls weren't attractive. but you have to say, knowing that a guy is interested sexually allows girls to be quite evil

thats half the problem, she's furiously flirtatious...likes to walk arm in arm, sleep on my shoulder or my lap, playfully kissing me, i swear she likes toying with me just to see whether i'll make a move or not.

I think you're onto something here- the separation of sex and emotional-human relationship. Obviously it's tough to have all-out sex without any emotion. LOL. So in our minds, the two are overlapped. The outcomes may be twofold. One, women always combine the two and accuse men of being dogs. Two, men want to separate the two but can not rationalize the desire so they condemn themselves as dogs but can not understand why they feel the way they do and want to do what they feel and just go ahead and do it anyway.

Yes, Grasshopper, one of the lessons in your **** collection is the lesson of PATIENCE. Let the **** do its job and teach you the art of patience with the help of your hand.
The ladder theory is pretty dead on accurate though. I like the situation that if your naked female friend jumped into the room, and you tell her.. "Oh no, we can't have sex, I don't want to ruin this beautiful relationship."... that totally illustrates that there will always be a slight line to cross between the friendship of the sexes.
For those guys that don't think this theory works... think about this. Next time you are going to eat lunch with just a female friend. She has no significant other, and neither do you. Just friends. You two hang out ever so often, go watch a movie etc. Talk on the phone for hours... eat dinner together with no other groups..etc etc. Then imagine that person being a guy you are doing this with. Would it still happen at this rate? I can't imagine the last time a guy friend called me up to ask... "Hey Cho, want to go watch Bridget Jones Diary two? It would be so great to see Hugh Grant again!"

lol exactly no guy is gonna act like that, and if he were you'd think he was gay*. with a girl its kinda of a mutually destructive situation, both are single, both dont wanna be, whats the next best thing... a relationship without any of the prerequisites or sex...YAY!!!!!
*(not that theres anything wrong with being gay, i imagine gay people also have these akward friendships as well, except between members of the same sex)
